7 things about me

HopIQ tagged me with this meme.

I was planning to post 10 things about me as part of posting 10 posts (Yaay!!), but then this meme came along and so here goes 7 things about me.

Here are the rules: Each player starts with 7 random facts/habits about themselves. People who are tagged need to write on their own blog about their seven things, as well as these rules. You need to choose 7 people to get tagged and list their names. Don’t forget to leave them a comment telling them that they have been tagged and to read your blog!

1) I have a pathological fear of a particular kind of broom - the one which has a really long brown bamboo kind of stick with coconut husk tied with ribbons at the end. I have not seen this in the US but there are lots in India. I call it the “picchi”. Yes, I do sweep my house and no, I am not scared of regular brooms. I still have nightmares about the picchi. Having started off with such a cheerful thing, here is number 2

2) I get bored easily. And it does not have anything to do with what I am doing. I get bored just as easily cleaning the house as traveling in Greece or planning my wedding- all of which has happened.

3) I hardly ever wear makeup or “do” my hair and I hate shopping. I take almost no time to get ready. The first time hubs and I went out, I was ready before him and he later told me that he loved that about me!!! I dislike most things feminine, but

4) I LOVE babies. I always wanted 4 and had their names picked out when I was 11, but I was terrified of getting married EVER which is one major reason I escaped from India-only to come here and meet Mr R.- you cannot escape your kismet.

5) Three years ago I could not peel a potato. Now I bake, and cook almost everything, still if I do not have anyone to cook for (i.e. if hubby is not in town) I do not make anything that takes more than 2 minutes to cook.

6) I find it very difficult to say No- If I say no, you just need to ask me three times and I WILL delete this if we have kids and they get old enough to read my blog and yes

7) I feel comfortable planning long term (though second part of number 6 was a joke), but God is teaching me not to make so many plans. It’s a hard lesson for me, but one I need to learn.

8) I do not have 7 blog friends to tag. I do read a lot of blogs , but I am a lurker and I find now that lurking has its disadvantages. Oh wait I am not supposed to write 8 things- but heck, when did I ever obey rules anyway?

Thanks for joining in the meme! I'm sorry about the link...I got it fixed! I am so clueless...I thought you were changing your template and working on html and didn't realize I hadn't even put in the correct URL. Oops.
