You know you are sick...

When after drinking warm water you go Ahhh.... like it is hot chocolate or something

It is the worst time to get sick although I am not sure if there is a good time to get sick anyway. I don't have any life threatening illness, only a mild touch of flu. I have 3 current projects at work, my in-laws are visiting, so busy at home and I feel too sick to do it all. I took half day off from work, ended up cooking at home, and I think it is better to be at work. At least there are no fumes.

I have STILL NOT done most of the Christmas shopping. I am getting panicky at the thought now. The only time we can take the parents out are in the evenings and weekends (since both of us work) and so I have no time for shopping. (We only have one car). The worst part is I don't even know what to get for most people. Then there is a birthday and our 2nd wedding anniversary coming up. To crown it all, I am going on a 3 week vacation to India on the 26th and I have to pack and get ready for that. We are going for a 4 day trip as well- which I have to make reservations for including swimming with dolphins, parasailing, hot-air ballooning and what not. And we come back I have a 24 hour plane ride starting the next day. I have to get the house ready and make food for 15 people (including kids) tomorrow. And also I have to go shopping for the ingredients.

And did I mention I was sick?

Just writing it all out, I feel another headache coming.

I think I am just a wee bit overwhelmed.

Hi,
I am so sorry!! I completely understand how you feel. I was sick most of the week and my Christmas shopping is still not even started!! I can't imagine having company during all of this. I normally don't take cold/flu medicine but Theraflu has helped me make it throught the day. I will say a prayer for you this weekend.

Oh, sweetie! It sounds like we may need to take a raincheck on dinner. Please don't feel bad about being sick. Just take it easy and get better! Let me know what I can do to help. I'll be happy to do some cooking, too.

I hope you're feeling better by now! You definitely don't need to be knocking yourself out with cooking and entertaining while sick. I assure you that people will be fine with delivered pizza or takeout Chinese or whatever.

Rest!

Oh, and I forgot to mention... Amazon.com! I bought the majority of Steven's presents there. Do your shopping online, have it delivered to your house, and don't worry about having to get out and shop.

Oh mann! And I was thinking I was busy :) Anyways, the true spirit is in doing all these, and finishing them successfully, and later feeling a sense of contentment. On the flip side, I definitely think, you have to go easy on yourself, prioritize things and do those which are highest priority. Its all about relativity, you see :)

Hey, Anne, I didn't see an e-mail for you. You left me such a sweet comment last week, and I never thanked you for it. I'm sorry it took me so long, but let me say thank you. You made my day.

I hope you feel better soon!

Don't worry too much about the Christmas shopping. :) I have not even started! And I cannot start until the 21st as I don't get paid until then. And even then, I am not getting much for people this year due to my car costing me too much in repairs this month. Oh well. Just really bad timing Christmas is this year.
Hope you are feeling better now!!
