Did you all read this?
I personally do not understand why a woman with 6 children already would go for fertility treatments. Maybe we will know soon. She is unidentified as of now.
Her kids are apparently 7, 6, 5, 3, and 2 year old twins. But 14 children under 7??? All I can say is good luck, lady!

That's...bizarre. I have to wonder what her doctor was thinking in allowing someone with 6 young children at home to undergo this procedure. It really doesn't make sense.
Wowza, seeing as I live under a rock, I didn't even know about this story until you enlightened me, Annie. You made my boring Friday night more interesting. :P
Forget good luck, she needs sleep-in-a-bottle. ;D If she has one more group of six she could beat the Duggars. The race is on...okay, that might be a little low of me to say....
I personally couldn't imagine going in for anything fertility related, beyond perhaps progesterone shots or something so minor, having just one child as I do now. I realize I'm likely strange for feeling this way, but I'd feel greedy and as if I wasn't counting my blessings, especially when our money could help feed poor children or something along those lines. This isn't to say I wouldn't want more children, of course....hopefully you "get" what I'm trying to say...
While the family is *incredibly* lucky that all 8 + mother are doing well, this reflects a total failure of her reproductive endocrinologist - a competent physician will tell you that producing more than 1 fetus is undesirable, and more than twins worse. I sure don't want to be in their house when there are 14 teenagers!
Anne Marie, If you have the money and are willing to go through it, I don't know if the doctor can actually deny treatment. If one actually does, there will always be another who will. Maybe she didn't even let them know about the kids at home.
Amy,I get what you are saying, and that is why I do not understand this on so many levels. First of all, why do you want to do this to your body?. The treatments are not fun, been there done that. It is a high risk pregnancy when you have anything more than twins.
Allison, I am sure she was advised not to go ahead. Any responsible doctor would have said that. I was in a similar situation when I was overstimulated and the doctor told me and my husband to not even look at each other that cycle. There was nothing the doctor could do if I flouted him and went ahead. I love children, but I realized how selfish that would be creating worry and possible heartbreak to my husband, family and myself.
Apparently, word has it she was wanting to "sell" her children. Police are investigating this right now. Hmmmm......
Sad, if that ends up being the true story.
Me personally....there is no way on earth I would ever have that many kids!!! I don't even want one!!
