I used to sing
You are my sunshine to Neil a lot when he was a newborn. I still do, but not as often. The song brings a boatload of memories of his first few days at home. He was so tiny, all of six pounds and so very fragile. I haven't written a lot about how challenging it was at the time. His hematoma, breastfeeding problems, his near dehydrayion, jaundice, my postpartum blues, cheloids, DR (muscle separation). At night when I would just feel like crying, I would start singing the song. I kept singing and it would lift my mood. So when I saw it at the store, I could not resist.

My, how much he has grown. Makes a mama sigh.
PS: I am not sure why blogger keeps changing the orientation on the picture.

Cute!
I have that picture problem with Blogger, too. I use Photoshop, so I go into photoshop, flip my picture the wrong way, then flip it back the right way. For whatever reason, Blogger needs that. It's a pain, especially as the picture started out in the correct position, but Blogger just won't recognize that without doing that silly flipping maneuver.
